To start this trip you have to go to Salciua first. Which is another 18 km. If you go with the car you can park there at the market field. From the market you take a left on DN75. You follow the main road for about 500 meters before taking a left and crossing the River.
From there you keep following the road that will lead to Valea Larga. There you keep going up until you get to Mount Ponorel and you keep going to Mount Heacu Berstanului.
From here most of the climbing is done and you go down towards Dumesti, from where it’s only downhill until you reach the village of Salciua and you can make your way back to the starting point.
