Camping

Our camping is closed!

But don’t worry we have some very good recommendations for you.

Babou Maramures

This campsite was our favorite campsite before we started Tara Nomada. Since we’re closed they are back in first place. They have  been our inspiration when we started exploring this country. The campsite is located in the north of the country at about 3 hours from here. If you liked staying with us you will definitely enjoy your stay here. It’s run by our good friends Bram and Ema. You can camp or enjoy their very cosy hostel.

Camping Calatorul

Matthias en Ienje moved to Romania in 2020 and have been busy realizing one of the best campsites in the area. You can pitch your tent, rent their yurt or stay in their beautiful apartment. Every time we visit them it’s getting more beautiful.

Camping de Oude Walnoot

This campsite has a very good location if you want to visit Turda or the Turda Gorges. It’s only 30 minutes from our place. Nicu and Lucia run this place with all their heart and they’ve been among the first friends we made since we moved to this country.

Camping Arges

If you cross the famous Transfagarasan this is a lovely place to camp. Vali and Raluca made a wonderful place. You will not regret stopping here and staying with this amazing hosts!

Camping de Oude Wilg

This is a real family campsite. Situated close to Sibiu with stunning views of the Fagaras mountains is a nice place to stop over on the way to the south or to stay for a longer period while exploring all the rich culture in the fortified villages and cities in its surroundings.  As Manette and Tudor have been here for so long they know all there is to know if you want to explore this beautiful country.

Camping Delia

This campsite will start this year in Lunca Larga which is only 4km from our place. They don’t have a website, but you can contact Delia on one of these phone numbers. (Delia doesn’t speak English yet)
